Bowmore on the Island of Islay opened in March 1997. Islay is situated off the west coast of Scotland and is famous for its Distilleries and whisky.

Invergordon Dojo opened in the March of 2001. Invergordon is famous for its deep water bay which played a major part for the british fleet in the 2nd World War, but is now home to many oil rigs which come in for repair and have had cruise ships dock such as the QE2. Invergordon is approx 30 miles north of Inverness.

Golspie opened in January 2003. Golspie is approximately 65 miles from Inverness and the lovely Dunrobin castle is situated nearby.

Ardgay opened in September 2003. Ardgay is situated on the Sutherland/ Ross-shire border.

The NKJJS has an approved curriculum of at least eight Kyu (pupil) grades and two black belt grades.

The techniques taught at the classes are purely for self defence and we do not have sport applications. In class you can expect warm ups, stretching etc, blocks, strikes, locks, throws, take downs and many, many more techniques too numerous to list.

We are not a martial arts club that goes around with blinkers on saying what we do is the best, we are always keen to learn any new technique that will work in a given situation from any martial arts style.

We have a syllabus for each of the Kyu grades and access to many world class martial arts instructors thanks to our membership of the Fighting Arts Organisation of Great Britain .

Juniors can start at the age of 7 years old.

15 years + puts you in the senior class, there is no upper age limit if you are fit enough to train, you train.

For any other information concerning training or the Dojos do not hesitate to get in touch with me, be it wanting regular training or just a martial artist passing through. I am sure we will have something to offer -
